Mission Statement:
Informing of children, ages 8 thru 18, avoidance and victory over potentially dangerous and harmful situations.  Through the use of self-discipline, self-defense and discussions, imparting in children the survival techniques in bully conflicts, Internet safety, Stranger awareness and the various other dangers that plaque our children today.
Members of the organization believe that when at an early age, if informed of self-esteem building and the ability to accomplish goals, that this will give the children the power to say no when confronted with negative peer pressure.  It will also give them an upper hand in violent situations by knowing self-discipline skills.  Not to physically react at first, but to walk away with confidence or to RUN, YELL AND TELL.

The formula to the success is to help students become aware that he/she possesses self-discipline.  When applying self-discipline to responsibilities, chores, learning a new skill and social interaction, he/she becomes aware that this virtue will lead to accomplishing goals.  When more goals are planned and accomplished a student becomes more confident in their actions and appearance. When an individual appears more confident to others, they are less likely to become a target for bully situations.

Self-defense techniques used are basic.  Children as young as 7, have been able to learn these techniques.  Students are informed constantly, that these techniques are not to be abused and are only used when no other alternative to a dangerous situation has worked.  SELF-DEFENSE IS THE LAST RESORT!

On the last class, children are tested on both their mental attitude and their proficiency of the physical techniques taught, to receive The Defend And Survive Program, Inc. Certificate Of Achievement.

EACH PERSON POSSESSES SELF-DISCIPLINE.  ONCE THIS IS REALIZED AND USED, A STUDENT CAN SET AND ACHIEVE GOALS.  ONCE GOALS ARE ACHIEVED, CONFIDENCE AND SELF-WORTH BEGIN TO BUILD.
HAVING CONFIDENCE MAKES ONE LESS LIKELY TO FALL INTO NEGATIVE PEER PRESSURE AND MORE LIKELY TO FOCUS ON THE INDIVIDUALS ABILITY TO ACHIEVE MORE, BY USING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.  WALKING WITH CONFIDENCE MAKES ONE LESS OF A TARGET IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
